Get­ting to Inns­bruck

Your op­tions if you plan on com­ing to the con­fer­en­ce by plane:

  1. You can fly dir­ec­tly to Inns­bruck. However, the Inns­bruck air­port is small and there­fore only of­fers flights to/from a lim­ited num­ber of des­tin­a­tions.
     
  2. You can fly to Vi­enna. There is a train line which takes you dir­ec­tly from this air­port to Inns­bruck main sta­tion (Inns­bruck Hbf). It de­parts every hour. The train ride takes ap­prox­im­ately 4 hours and 45 minutes.
     
  3. You can fly to Mu­nich, Ger­many, and then cross the bor­der by train. You have to take the sub­urb­an train "S8" to get from this air­port to the sta­tion Mu­nich East (München Ost). From there you can take a train which goes dir­ec­tly to Inns­bruck main sta­tion (Inns­bruck Hbf). It de­parts every two hours. In total, the train ride takes ap­prox­im­ately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
     
  4. You can fly to Ver­ona, Italy, and then cross the bor­der by train. You have to take the Bus 199 to the sta­tion Ver­ona Porta Nuova. From there you can take a train which goes dir­ec­tly to Inns­bruck main sta­tion (Inns­bruck Hbf). It de­parts every two hours. In total, the travel time is ap­prox­im­ately 4 hours and 15 minutes.
