Glas­gow is a ci­ty trans­for­med. On­ce Eu­ro­pe’s pree­mi­nent post-in­dus­tri­al ci­ty it is now re­co­g­ni­sed in­ter­na­tio­nal­ly for its crea­ti­vi­ty and cul­ture, its in­no­va­ti­on and in­ven­ti­on, and for its su­stai­na­bi­li­ty agen­da and am­bi­ti­ons. But chal­len­ges and le­ga­cies re­main. Pas­siv­haus is one ap­proach Glas­gow is ex­plo­ring to help achie­ve its car­bon re­duc­ti­on tar­gets, to ad­dress its poor he­alth le­vels and to de­li­ver on its so­ci­al ju­sti­ce aspi­ra­ti­ons. As Glas­gow con­ti­nues its tran­si­ti­on in­to a gree­ner and mo­re su­stai­na­ble ci­ty, Pas­siv­haus can be cen­tral to our low car­bon, in­clu­si­ve and fai­rer fu­ture.
