Be­a­con in the sky: A re­si­den­ti­al tower un­der­goes a step­wi­se Ener­PHit re­tro­fit

The Ray­mond Des­ma­rais Ma­nor tower is un­der­going a step­wi­se ap­proach to the Ener­PHit stan­dard. The buil­ding fa­ces ma­ny chal­len­ges in­clu­ding te­nan­cy du­ring con­struc­ti­on, exis­ting bal­co­nies, and step­wi­se re­tro­fit. This pa­per ex­plo­res the un­i­que HVAC and en­ve­lo­pe so­lu­ti­ons im­ple­men­ted.

EnerPhit refurbishment of the administrative high rise of the "Dachverband der österreichischen Sozialversicherungen"

Mit der Um­set­zung der neu­es­ten An­for­de­run­gen an Ener­gie­ef­fi­zi­enz und Bü­ro­stan­dard setzt das Pro­jekt neue Bench­marks für ver­gleich­ba­re Sa­nie­rungs­vor­ha­ben. Mit dem öf­fent­li­chen Ge­bäu­de wird „Ener­PHit-Plus“ so­wie die ener­gie­ef­fi­zi­en­te Nut­zung rich­tungs­wei­send kom­mu­ni­ziert.

First Ener­PHit re­si­den­ti­al high-ri­se in North Ame­ri­ca: The Ken So­ble Tower

The Ken So­ble Tower in On­ta­rio is a show­ca­se hou­sing re­tro­fit poi­sed to be the first Ener­PHit apart­ment tower in North Ame­ri­ca, with con­struc­ti­on now un­der­way. This pre­sen­ta­ti­on will re­view the stra­te­gies used to achie­ve Ener­PHit cer­ti­fi­ca­ti­on and out­li­ne chal­len­ges over­co­me for Pas­si­ve Hou­se re­ne­wal in the Ca­na­di­an con­text.

De­ve­lo­ping a re­p­li­ca­ble me­tho­do­lo­gy for suc­cess­ful Tall Pas­si­ve Hou­se Buil­dings

Mo­re re­cent­ly we are seeing a ra­pid ex­pan­si­on in High Ri­se Pas­si­ve Hou­se buil­dings in the world. Ma­ny of the­se tal­ler buil­dings are stand alo­ne buil­dings and not in­fill pro­jects. With this  co­mes a new set of chal­len­ges. This pre­sen­ta­ti­on fo­cu­ses on a few so­lu­ti­ons of the com­ple­ted pro­ject.  

Con­struc­ti­on con­trol of key tech­no­lo­gies in high-ri­se buil­ding of pre­mi­um Pas­si­ve Hou­se

The 2# buil­ding of Da­zi­ran Squa­re is the first pas­si­ve hou­se pro­ject tar­ge­ted at PHI Pre­mi­um cer­ti­fi­ca­ti­on in Chi­na. This pa­per ana­ly­zes and sum­ma­ri­zes the prac­ti­cal ex­pe­ri­ence of key tech­no­lo­gies in de­sign and con­struc­ti­on con­trol of rea­li­zing PHI Pre­mi­um cer­ti­fi­ca­ti­on in high-ri­se buil­dings.

Mo­nash Uni­ver­si­ty: Wood­si­de buil­ding for tech­no­lo­gy and de­sign

The Wood­si­de Buil­ding for Tech­no­lo­gy and De­sign is cur­rent­ly the lar­gest Pas­si­ve Hou­se cer­ti­fied pro­ject in the southern he­mis­phe­re and ar­gua­b­ly the lar­gest cer­ti­fied pu­re­ly edu­ca­tio­nal buil­ding in the world. The pre­sen­ta­ti­on high­lights the de­sign pro­cess and so­lu­ti­ons im­ple­men­ted for the land­mark buil­ding which is re­pre­sen­ting the la­test thin­king in ter­tia­ry edu­ca­ti­on.
