Eva­lua­ting and op­ti­mi­zing the pos­si­bi­li­ty of using the PV yield di­rect­ly in the buil­ding is chal­len­ging. A spreads­heet-ba­sed ana­ly­sis of PV and ther­mal and/or elec­tric ener­gy sto­ra­ge at buil­ding le­vel is de­ve­lo­ped ba­sed on ex­ten­si­ve buil­ding and sys­tem si­mu­la­ti­ons using re­fe­rence buil­dings.

Ho­ney­bee-PH is a new free, open-sour­ce soft­wa­re tool­kit de­si­gned to help Pas­si­ve Hou­se prac­ti­tio­ners ma­na­ge com­plex buil­ding da­ta mo­re ef­fi­cient­ly. This tool­kit al­lows PHPP mo­de­lers to re­du­ce mo­del ti­me, im­pro­ve mo­del fle­xi­bi­li­ty, and li­mit er­rors si­gni­fi­cant­ly when used as part of BIM work­flow.

La­test De­ve­lop­ments in de­si­gnPH

This pre­sen­ta­ti­on will gi­ve an in­sight in­to the la­test de­ve­lop­ments in de­si­gnPH which in­clu­de: Fur­ther ali­gnment with the PHPP cal­cu­la­ti­on me­tho­do­lo­gy, by em­ploy­ing the month­ly me­thod di­rect­ly in de­si­gnPH. This will gi­ve a bet­ter pa­ri­ty of re­sults bet­ween de­si­gnPH and PHPP even­tu­al­ly al­low us to as­sess coo­ling de­mand and in­tro­du­ce over­hea­ting war­nings. De­si­gners will be ab­le to fur­ther eva­lua­te their de­si­gns di­rect­ly in de­si­gnPH be­fo­re ex­por­ting to PHPP. So­me new pos­si­bi­li­ties for dis­play­ing con­tex­tu­al in­for­ma­ti­on di­rect­ly in the mo­del view­port, using a new fea­ture of Sketch­Up 2023. Ent­ry of PV pa­nels in a de­si­gnPH mo­del.
